About Me
My name is Ashley Weiand. I am a junior Biology/Pre-Vet student at Juniata College. At Juniata I am involved in Map Turtle research. I also serve as the President for the Pre-Vet and Animal Science Club, the Vice President for Habitat for Humanity, and the Social Media Coordinator for Health Occupation Students of America. I am also a Resident Assistant for first-year on campus housing.

I have a 10 year old beagle mix named Myla. My interests include, reading, hiking, spending time outside, and volunteering. I also enjoy working with animals.
This summer I am participating in an internship at Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary in Hubert, NC. Here I will perform hands-on animal care, learn to work with non-releasable animals, and assist with wildlife presentations, programs, and tours.
